Benji Hicks scores fifth-place finish in Rebel Yell 53 at Screven Motor Speedway

Continuing his title fight with the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals, Benji Hicks rolled into I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) for the fourth round of the tour.

Qualifying third-quickest in his group, Hicks locked himself into the A-Main but struggled to find speed and finished 17th.

After dealing with a handful of rainouts, Benji finally returned to the track Sunday afternoon for the postponed Rebel Yell 53 at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.). Starting 11th in the $10,053-to-win feature, Hicks rolled passed six competitors and landed a Top-5 finish in fifth.

Thursday's Roscoe Smith Classic at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway, Friday's event at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.), and Sunday's show at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway were all rained out and postponed to a later date.

Hicks currently sits fifth in the series point standings.
