Southern Showcase brings Hicks to Swainsboro Raceway with HTF
Joining the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for their points finale, Benji Hicks rolled into Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first round of the two-day Southern Showcase.
Following the seventh-fastest lap in his qualifying group, Hicks fell back in his heat race which relegated him to a B-Main. Needing a Top-3 finish to transfer, Benji recorded a fifth-place outing.
Looking for a better night on Saturday, Benji went out late in qualifying and was buried in his heat race. Following an eighth-place finish in his heat, Hicks was once again unable to transfer through his B-Main after a seventh-place finish.
