Benji Hicks finds 602 Late Model victory lane at Fayetteville Motor Speedway

Competing in both the 602 and Super Late Models divisions, Benji Hicks made the quick trip to Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

Among 33 Carolina Clash Super Late Models, Hicks started the $5,000-to-win main event from the fifth-row and was running eighth when he suffered a flat tire. With only a handful of laps left, Benji called it a night and finished 20th.

In 602 Late Model competition, Benji qualified second-quickest out of 17 entries and started the feature from the outside pole. Taking the top spot on lap eight, Hicks held off his competitors for the final 12 laps to secure his second 602 victory of the season.
