Benji Hicks attend Spring Thaw at Volunteer Speedway
Losing Friday's opener to rain, Benji Hicks made the trip to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon for the XR Super Series-sanctioned Spring Thaw.
With 34 Late Models in the pit area, Hicks nabbed the final transfer spot in his heat race before retiring early from the 60-lap main event to finish 19th.
In Sunday's $12,000-to-win feature, Benji once again started 16th but pulled off the track on lap 26 to finish 21st.
